Newest Release!
The Turtle Hospital is celebrating the release of Molly, a resilient loggerhead sea turtle whose remarkable recovery has inspired millions. Rescued off Key West in August after being found weak, entangled in a crab trap line, and suffering from a massive 10.1‑pound fibropapilloma tumor, Molly underwent intensive care including antibiotics, fluids, vitamins, a seafood diet, and multiple surgeries. Against the odds, she became the first loggerhead of her size to survive removal of such a large tumor. Her journey, shared in viral videos with over 80 million views, has raised global awareness of sea turtle conservation. Molly will return to the ocean on Tuesday, November 25th at Higgs Beach in Key West, fitted with a satellite transmitter so the public can follow her ongoing journey at sea.
