The Turtle Hospital. Rescue, Rehab, Release.

COVID-19 Update

Even though the Turtle Hospital has been temporarily closed to visitors and guests since March 23, we continue to be just as committed as ever to giving the best medical care that we can to our sea turtle patients. Our Rehab staff continues to live on-site and care for the turtles here at the hospital around the clock.

Our off-site veterinarians cannot currently be here in person, but they are conducting virtual veterinary visits online to ensure continuity of care. Additionally, we have access to local veterinarians in case of an emergency or necessary surgery.

Our Education staff is working hard to adapt and continue to educate people about sea turtles. We are still offering free virtual field trips to the Turtle Hospital through Skype, and we are now hosting live educational feeds on Facebook every Wednesday and Friday at 2:00 pm. You can also join us on Friday evenings at 7:00 pm for a “Turtle Tales” story-time featuring a turtle-themed children’s book.

In order to feed and care for our sea turtle patients and residents, we rely on funds from general admissions and sales of merchandise from our gift shop and online store.  To make a purchase or a donation, please visit our online store.  Thank you for your support and we hope you stay safe and healthy during this challenging time.
