The Turtle Hospital. Rescue, Rehab, Release.

New Education Center

The Turtle Hospital Educational Center recently went through major renovations including a brand new tile floor, some new paint on the walls and beautiful new displays.  If you haven’t visited lately it is a must see!  Walls now hold sea turtle carapaces of all the south Florida species and informational displays which discuss the threats to their survival all the way to how you can help save sea turtles.

Displays telling the story of the hospital and how we specifically help sea turtles can also be found in our remodeled center.  A grant from the Sea Turtle Grants Program (which is funded from the proceeds from the sale of the Florida Sea Turtle License Plates) is what allowed The Turtle Hospital to go through with this renovation by providing all the funding.

The Turtle Hospital would like to extend a special thank-you to Dawn and Blair Witherington who designed and provided the informational write ups on our current displays, both are professional naturalists.
