12/7/2020: We are so excited to have our first leatherback at the hospital. Victor was found floating in a canal in Ocean Reef. There is an old flipper injury that is already completely healed. This turtle is around 6 month old, and is underweight, weighing in at a 1 pound and 4 ounces. Since leatherbacks do not do well in captivity, our goal is to have it back in the ocean in a week. 

12/17/2020: UPDATE: Happy to report Victor gained 50 grams and lungs are slowly improving.

1/21/2021: Released with the help of TWO Conchs Charters boat.
