Hale Update

Good News! It has been one year since Hale’s surgery to remove external Fibropapilloma and he is now ready for release! All Fibropapilloma patients must remain at the hospital for one year after surgery to ensure that they have no re-growths. If they do not, these patients are released on the one year anniversary of their last surgical date. Hale has been happily recovering in the large 100,000gl saltwater swimming pool since his surgery last June. Prior to release, we draw blood which is sent to a lab to ensure our patients are in good health. The results are in….. he’s a happy, healthy sea turtle ready to go home! His release is tentatively set for early July.
