Lynn & JTJOIN us for a Public Sea Turtle Release Saturday, September 17th at Higg’s Beach in Key West (behind Salute’ restaurant). Bring your family and friends to help cheer for 2 juvenile green sea turtles returning to their ocean home! JT, a stunning 20m pound turtle was rescued in November of last year in a canal in Cudjoe Key. JT was treated at The Turtle Hospital for fibropapillomatosis. Treatment included a whole blood transfusion, tumor removal surgeries, broad spectrum antibiotics, fluid treatment, vitamins, and a healthy diet of greens, and mixed seafood. Lynn, also weighs in at 20 pounds, she was rescued 20 miles offshore of the upper keys in June. Lynn was entangled in fishing line and had fibropapillomatosis, Her treatment at The Turtle Hospital included disentanglement, tumor removal surgeries, broad spectrum antibiotics, fluid treatment, vitamins, and a healthy diet of greens and mixed seafood. Both turtles are back to good health and ready to return to sea! The marine turtles will arrive in the ambulance at 11:30 a.m., with release promptly at 12:00 p.m. See you there!
