A Special Adoption

boys-donation-e.jpg

Joseph and Vincent came to visit The Turtle Hospital one day, and have since taken an interest in helping sea turtles survive.  The boys decided to save some of their allowance money to adopt Bender, a Kemp’s Ridley who is a permanent resident here at the hospital. Each $35 adoption helps us provide food and medication for our patients that can never be released.

With only a few dollars still needed for Bender, the boys set up a “shell-shop” selling sea shells behind their home. After one final charity BINGO game the night before the adoption, the boys had raised enough money to adopt Bender with some left over to donate!

The staff here at The Turtle Hospital want to sincerely thank two very generous boys, Joseph and Vincent, for helping care for our patients.
