11/29/2021: Intake This subadult loggerhead was found in Little Palm Key. There is a propeller strike on it’s carapace and it is missing the front left flipper most likely due to a shark attack.

12/17/2021: Shallow Hal is doing better, and is in a shallow amount of water while recovery is happening.

5/15/22: Dr. Brook saw Shallow Hal today for a visit and was given the all clear for release. She got her flipper tag, and we will monitor the tag for any swelling or infection. Release date to be announced in the future.

5/24/22: Shallow Hal will be released by the Coast Guard up in the Everglades area.
