Josie, a juvenile Green sea turtle, was rescued from Rattlesnake Key near Key Largo, Florida on August 5, 2003. Josie came in with Fibropapilloma tumors and as a floater due to a boat strike. She has a bubble of air under her shell which gives her shell a domed appearance. Josie’s injuries are such that she would be unable to dive to reach sea grass, which is her primary food source. Therefore, she will be a permanent resident.
